Liccardi graduated with honors from the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples, under the guidance of Pasquale Esposito. He then specialized with Arrigo Tassinari and Maxence Larrieu; together with Larrieu Naples, in the Scarlatti hall of the S. Pietro a Majella Conservatory (Naples), he performed the Concerto per due flauti e orchestra by Saverio Mercadante and, at the Fête de la Musique in Paris, the Concerto per due flauti by Domenico Cimarosa. He also attended courses at the "Accademia Chigiana di Siena" held by Severino Gazzelloni.

He has performed intense concert activity in various chamber ensembles and, as a soloist, with various Italian orchestras, including the prestigious "Alessandro Scarlatti" RAI Orchestra of Naples.  He has made television and radio recordings, performing, among other things, the complete cycle of the Flute Quartets by W.A. Mozart.
