The Accademia Musicale "Jacopo Napoli" organizes the International Summer Courses since 1987: many important performers and professors are invited to hold a masterclass in Cava de' Tirreni. The music courses annually attract hundreds of young musicians from all over the world who receive advanced training under the guidance of internationally renowned teachers and performers.
During nearly the past three decades, thousands of young people have participated in the artistic activity of the Academy, offering an important starting point to the career of many of our students who received distinctions at an international level.

Over the years this formula has shown how combining tourism with important cultural events is in accordance with modern trends.
Today, the summer Academy of Cava de' Tirreni can be considered as one of the major musical training programmes in Italy due to the outstanding level of the renowned teaching staff on its roster and the artistic level and number of the participants.
